Wordria is an exciting online word game where players compete to form words on a 15×15 game board, similar to classic crossword-style games. Play against friends, random opponents, or an AI opponent in multiple languages.
The goal is simple: score more points than your opponent by placing letter tiles on the board to form valid words.
At the start, you receive 7 random letter tiles from the letter bag. Each tile has a letter and a point value. Every turn, you'll draw new tiles to replace the ones you use, always keeping 7 tiles on your rack.
⭐ Important: The first word played must cover the center star on the board. It must be at least 2 letters long.
To play a word, drag tiles from your rack to the board. All tiles must be placed in a straight line either horizontally (left to right) or vertically (top to bottom).
After the first move, every new word must connect to words already on the board. You can:
💡 Pro Tip: Longer words score more points! Try to use all 7 tiles in one turn for a +50 bonus.
Made a mistake? You have two options:
Each letter has a point value. Common letters (like A, E, I) are worth 1 point, while rare letters (like Q, Z, J, X) are worth 8-10 points.

The board contains special bonus squares that multiply your score. Use them wisely!
🏆 Use all 7 tiles in one move for a +50 point bonus! This is called a "Bingo" and is the key to winning games.
Two blank tiles are in the bag. When you play a blank, choose any letter - it will act as that letter for the rest of the game. But the blank itself is worth 0 points.
If you can't play a word, you can pass. But be careful:
You can resign at any time using the 🏳️ Resign button. Your opponent will win the game.
When the game ends:

During online games, you can send emoji reactions (👏 😮 🎯 😅 🤔) to your opponent. Remember: only one reaction per turn - don't spam!

What if I make a mistake placing a tile?
Click the tile to return it to your rack, or use the "Recall" button to return all placed tiles.
Can I play the same word twice?
Yes, as long as it's placed in a different position on the board.
What happens if I close the browser during a game?
Online games are saved automatically. When you return, you can continue from the "Continue Playing" section.
How is my ELO rating calculated?
We use a standard ELO system. Win against a stronger player to gain more points; lose to a weaker player and you'll lose more points.
Can I play without an account?
Yes, as a guest. However, your progress won't be saved, and you can't continue games on other devices. Create a free account to save everything.
Why can't I play certain words?
The game only accepts words that exist in our official dictionary. Common abbreviations and proper nouns are usually not allowed.
What is the time limit per turn?
In online games, you have 24 hours to make your move. If you don't play in that time, you forfeit the game.
